We went to Kynli's 1st birthday party today. It was a cupcake themed party which was super cute! Maddi had a great time! And so did we! I really enjoyed getting to catch up with Summer and Augie who I went to PA school with. Maddi enjoyed playing with "baby" Kynli! We have Kynli's picture up on our refrigerator and Maddi always points to it and says "baby." They were too cute running around together! Happy Birthday Miss Kynli!

Midland and Father's Day
Just now getting around to blogging about this past weekend. We drove out to Midland on Friday. Moss' old swim group with City of Midland was having a reunion. We took the opportunity to catch up with Casey and Kenny who let us stay with them! Casey and I went to PA school together. We had such a great weekend despite the trip out there. Maddi was not a good traveler! But she was much better coming back. Maddi was a little shy at first meeting Casey and Kenny but she warmed up quickly! She enjoyed playing with Kenny for sure! It was good practice for him, too! Casey and Kenny are expecting a baby in November and they just found out today it's a girl! I'm so excited for them! Here are some pics from the weekend.
I had gotten make-up on my shirt while getting ready for the reunion at K.D's BBQ. That's why my shirt has big wet spots on it!

The Fennells all dressed up for the reunion.
Maddi running around K.D.'s patio area.
She was redecorating the patio area as well and kept moving things around.
This is not a great picture of me and, of course, Maddi isn't looking at the camera. But this is the best we could get. I thought it was funny how Kenny and Casey are in blue and Maddi and I are in green. I didn't notice that until I downloaded the picture. You can barely see Casey's baby bump!
This was also Father's Day. And I totally forgot to get a pic of Maddi and Moss together! I'm terrible! But I was so tired and worn out from the drive, it never crossed my mind! But we did give Moss his gifts when we got back home and he really liked them. He's a totally wonderful father and husband and I couldn't imagine my life without him in it! Love you, babe!

More Weekend Pics
Just some more pics from the weekend. Maddi and I went to Bud and Sissi's on Saturday. Moss stayed at home to do some stuff around the house after the storms. We went swimming at one of my mom's friend's house and then went out to eat afterwards. It ended up getting late so Maddi and I ended up staying the night. We had a great time! Maddi loved hanging with her cousins!

19 Months Old
Maddi turned 19 months old on Friday! I tried getting pictures of her then, but we were busy eating an early dinner and getting ready for swim lessons so I really didn't get any good ones. So I took some on Saturday while we were out at my parents house. Maddi continues to be such a joy everyday! She is also pretty full of herself. She throws a few more tantrums now that we are approaching the ever-so-feared "terrible twos!" We have had to make use of the "time out" a few times here recently! But overall, it's not that bad.
Her vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. Even other people who aren't around her on a daily basis are starting to be able to understand certain things she says now. When I think of how much she has changed developmentally in the last several months, it really blows me away!
I tell her all the time that I wish she would stop growing! If I could just bottle her up right now I would! Of course, then I would miss out on all the other great things she is going to do in the future!

Family Photos
We recently had family photos taken and below are a few of them. We didn't get many this time. I don't really recommend family photos with an 18 month old!! She was so not interested in sitting still for the camera! If I had been smart, I would have brought along a 3rd person to stand behind our photographer to help get her to pay attention, smile, look at the camera, etc. Oh well, lessons learned! We did manage to get a few I liked though. Again, they were all taken by Amy Doggett with Simply Captivating. She always does such a good job for us!
