I'm truly not trying to bore anyone with park pictures. But really, whenever we just try to get her outside some, it's usually in the front yard or at the park. So, that's where most of my pics get taken. Moss went with us on Saturday. We actually decided to be ambitious and we walked to the park while pulling Maddi in the wagon. It was an overcast, warm day, but there was enough of a breeze to keep us cool. We had a great time! Maddi loved being pulled in the wagon and of course, her favorite, being pushed in the swing. When we were walking back, I happened to look down and see a ladybug. So I stopped to pick it up and show Maddi. I thought she'd freak out about it, but when she saw it crawling on my arm, she wanted nothing but to have it on her arm too. I was amazed! It would fly off and land in the wagon or on her leg and she'd pick it up with her thumb and index finger and look up at us and smile, like, "Okay, I've got it. Let's go!" Poor little bug, I think, was a little traumatized by the time we finally let him get back on his way! Once Moss let it fly off, Maddi kept asking "Where'd it go?" and holding her hands face up. So cute! So here are some of our pics. I tried to put in some different ones so they weren't just ones of her sliding and swinging as usual. Hope I don't bore you too much!

Pics From The Park
Moss is out of town turkey hunting this weekend. So, it's just Maddi and I. So far we have had a GREAT weekend! Sometimes it can be tough without Moss here to give me a break every now and then but she has been a complete angel. We had a great day today. I took her to the park before dinner and she loved it, of course. I found out she can say "slide" and "swing." Our only sub par moment tonight was when we left the park. She cried. :( But she soon cheered up again. I was also shocked at how big she seemed at the park tonight. By that I mean, she was able to climb all over that play ground equipment without any help from me. Last time we went, which was about a month ago, I was still having to help her climb the stairs and I was running around the thing the whole time afraid she was going to fall off. She was starting to be able to do the slide on her own but she would slide off onto her bottom. This time she was very steady going up the steps and she would slide down all the slides, even the big one, and land on her feet! That may seem like such a silly thing to focus on, but it just seemed like she grew up overnight! In a way that makes me sad, but happy too. I took some more pics of her at the park to play with my camera again. They are kind of bluish because I didn't have it on quite the right setting until some of the later pics. But they still turned out cute. I'm still getting a hang of the focus with it too. It's very sensitive! Anyway, I can't wait for Moss to get home tomorrow! We miss him!

More Random Photos
I've been dying to play around with my new camera lens all week but just haven't had time until today. I've been trying to read about it some online. It's not all that easy to get used to. But I'm starting to figure it out some. I took some more pics of Maddi (of course) outside today. Some of them turned out pretty good I think.

Thirty-Something
Yes, I officially became a "thirthy-something" today. But I had a great day! Other than the fact I had to work. I got done around 2:30 though so that's not so bad. Moss got me a new camera lens that I have been wanting. I was sooo excited to get home today and test it out on my favorite subject--Maddi, of course! However, you will notice in the pictures that she was quite a mess when I picked her up from daycare. Oh well. It was still fun trying out my new lens. Although, I still have a few things to learn with it. I'm thinking I should have asked for photography lessons as well!
What a mess!
What a mess!

17 Months Old
Today was not only Easter but also marks Maddi's 17 month old milestone. I usually make sure she is in a cute outfit to do her monthly pics but since today was Easter she was already in a cute dress and I already posted a lot of her pics in the previous post. So here's just a few more.
I sat down to make a list of all the words she can say and, wow, it's a lot. So even though I've posted words in her last monthly posts I'm just going to list them all here.
mama, dada, Pato, dog, cat, cookie, ball, baby, more, milk, outside, shoe, sock, hi, bye, movie, sit (to the dog), good boy (after he sits), what's that?, please, thank you, Elmo, book, Bob (her monkey), five (like high five), mine, Sadee, macaroni, Bud, bubbles, moo, bird, duck, uh oh, Boo!, cheese, jacket, and her all time favorite right now--NO!
She can also point to her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet, toes, tummy, and hair!
Some of her favorite things to do right now are play outside, read books, watch Baby Einstein, and blow bubbles!
She's getting so much bigger everyday! It's hard to believe that 18 month mark is just right around the corner! I try so hard to soak up every minute of her but when I look back at just a few months ago, it's already hard to remember! This growing up stuff is very bitter sweet!
