Saturday morning was a little different story. Maddi was fine during breakfast but decided to have a meltdown while we were getting ready for gym. Don't know what set her off, but it made the morning less than pleasant. She was better by the time we got there (which was a little late due to her meltdown). But she was something of a "free spirit" during class. She wanted to do her own thing and would just run full out towards one of the mats and fling herself face first on them. Crazy girl! And she wasn't real interested in doing what the rest of the class was doing. Oh, well. I guess at this age I should just expect that every now and then!
Saturday night, we went to a get together with some of Moss' high school friends who went to Midland High with him. Moss FINALLY joined Facebook and has recently gotten back in touch with them. One of the guys, who lives in McKinney, hosted a sort of "reunion" for their class who are in this area. So that was kind of neat. We had a great time! Most people brought their kids and it was funny because out of the 10 or so kids there, Maddi was the only girl! So you can imagine what a hit she was! Everyone kept saying how beautiful she was and that she had such pretty eyes. Now, you can imagine as a mom, how that made me feel! But you should have seen Moss! He was one proud Daddy! There was one little boy a month younger than her who she played with named Beck. When I say play, I mean fighting over each other's snacks, cups, toys, etc. But at this age I think that constitutes as playing. There was one time where he was outside and Maddi was inside and they were looking at each other through the window and kissing each other through the window! It was too cute! Moss wasn't too thrilled about it though!
Sunday, we just wanted to get out of the house for a bit. It was too windy and cold to go to the park or go for a walk. So we loaded everyone up and went to the grocery store and then to Sprout's to buy some fresh fruits and veggies. I know that sounds kind of boring, but going out and running errands of any kind with Moss and Maddi is one of my favorite things to do. Maddi loves going and behaves really well for the most part. We do have to practice saying "No" a few times at the store, but she is getting better and only fusses for a minute or so. She's starting to realize that fussing doesn't get her anywhere. Progress!
Some pics from the weekend!
Maddi turns 17 months on Easter. I will post her newest updates next week. I can't believe how fast she's growing!
