4th of July

FINALLY getting this post up! I have just not had the energy. But here it is! Our pics from the fourth. We basically woke up Saturday of that weekend and at the last minute decided to just pack up and spend the whole weekend at my parents' house instead of just a day trip on Sunday. We didn't leave until Monday! Thanks Mom and Dad! It was such a fun and relaxing weekend! The cousins enjoyed playing and we enjoyed being lazy!

The sign outside my parents' door! My dad wrote it. Too funny!

Maddi and Sadee.

Our attempt at a family 4th of July pic.

The Heninger kiddos! And Dolly the cat!

My mom got this recipe for these cupcakes you bake in ice cream cones. We thought it would be fun to let the kids decorate. These are the cupcakes after being baked and iced by my mom and I.

Kaily and Peyton decorating and eating there FOUR cupcakes a piece!

Pool time!

I took the bubble blower machine and it again proved to be very entertaining for the kiddos.

Maddi in her itsy bitsy teeny weeny blue polka dot bikini! I think she looked so cute in it!

I love the flower on the bobo!

Maddi running on the slip n' slide.

Attempting to do it the real way! Although, all she was doing was shimmying on her belly.

Daddy was making it rain with the water hose!

And of course, her favorite thing to do is play with the water hose!

We took a break so Maddi could decorate her cupcake!

Goofy kid!

This was so precious! My dad would make Bobby (the monkey) "talk" and Maddi would talk back to him like it was really him talking! I'm pretty sure she knew it was my Dad, but the kid has a VERY vivid and active imagination! So not surprised this was entertaining to her.

My dad was totally enjoying it!

This McDonald's set has been around since my brother was about a year old. So essentially, it is over 20 years old! I still remember playing with it with my brother and sister quite a bit! It is so fun now that our kids can enjoy it too! So glad my parents still have it! Maddi and Sadee played together with it quite a bit. But I didn't get any pics until after Sadee had left, so these are only of Maddi. But she enjoyed playing by herself too!

"Can I help you, ma'am?"

These are the fireworks we saw from my parents yard! We had about 5 different vantage points where they were being set off all around us! It was great! We had already put Maddi to bed because she had stayed up late the night before and was fading fast on us. I wish she could have seen them. But definitely next year!

Sadee got to come back and play before we left on Monday!

The girls would scoot off the step, lift their feet, and roll down the hill over and over!

Well, there it is! Finally! Our 4th of July weekend!
