Doctor's Visit

Maddi had her 9 month well-baby check today. She is doing great! She is doing everything she is supposed to be doing for her age and in my opinion she is, of course, perfect! She luckily did not get any immunization shots today but she did have to have a finger stick so they could check for anemia (which she didn't have!) Surprisingly, she didn't even flinch when the nurse pricked her finger! However, once she started squeezing her finger to get the blood into the little tube that's when she started to cry. Overall, though, she did well!

Now for the stats! Her head circumference was 44.75 cm (68th percentile), her height was 29 1/4 in (90th percentile), and she weighed in at 20 lbs 0.5 oz (65th percentile.) Like I said perfect! Here are some pics of her examining her bandaid after they were through!

And here she is trying to eat her bandaid!!

Sunday

Moss was again helping my Dad finish putting in a sprinkler system, so it was Maddi and Mommy on their own for most of the day! Aunt Stacy came over for a little while and kept us company. We should have gotten a picture with her but didn't think about it. So next time we will. Here are some pics from the rest of the day!

Hanging outside after we waved bye to Aunt Stacy.

Mommy put Maddi in a Texas Tech hat since Daddy was gone! Haha!

I got this pic of her in mid-fall!

Playing peek-a-boo over the coffee table!

After we came in from outside I put her in her chair with some snacks so I could do some things in the kitchen and start getting her dinner ready. I looked over at one point and she was happily eating her snacks and then I literally looked over again 2 minutes later and this is what I saw! She just can't hang with Mommy! To be fair, I remember some days early on when she kept me up at night and I felt like this the next day! So I consider it payback!

Maddi pushing her toy ALLL around the living room floor!

Practicing walking with Daddy! She was very happy to see him when he got home!

Dinner with The Galindo's!

We went out to eat with Augie, Summer, and Kynli on Saturday night. We ate at La Hacienda Ranch which was very yummy! We had a great time getting to see Kynli and them getting to see Maddi!

Here's Maddi eating a snack before we left waiting on Daddy to finish getting ready! She's in the dress Sissi bought her!

Here's me holding Kynli and Kynli not being all that happy about it!

Slighltly happier with her paci!

Maddi with Uncle Augie!

We had several tries before we finally got a decent picture out of this one! Kynli, again, was not too happy about it!

Mommy and Maddi!

Moss with Kynli! What a sweetie! I think she was tired of all the picture taking though!

Maddi digging through both the diaper bags. This has become a favorite activity of hers!

Maddi the pacifier thief! She found Kynli's in the diaper bag and decided it must be hers as well!

Mommy Time

Daddy had to go work today so Maddi and Mommy had the whole day to themselves! We went out and ran some errands and did a little shopping. Maddi was so good the whole time we were out and didn't fuss once! We came home and were just being silly with the camera so I decided to post a few of the pics. Maddi is currently over an hour into a nap. Mommy wore her out! But we had fun!

Cookie Monster

Since Maddi has been eating more finger foods lately we have been trying to come up with different things for her to try. A lot of people had asked me if we had tried the teething biscuits or "biter biscuits" that Gerber makes. We had been warned they are very messy. We decided to try them anyway. They are basically an oblong cookie that she chews and sucks on until it becomes a bunch of mush. It gets all over her face and hands and basically we took her straight from her highchair and threw her in the bathtub! Beware if you ever want to try these with your child! Here are some pics of our little cookie monster!

Cousins

We took Maddi, Sadee, and Kaily to get their pictures taken on Saturday. Mom wanted a picture of all the grandkids. Unfortunately, Peyton ended up not getting to be there so we got one of all her "grand-girls." My mom bought the dresses for the girls and they turned out really cute! Maddi did so good. She smiled the whole time. Even in between pictures. She really liked the feather duster tickling her! She laughed anytime it even came near her. It was too cute! Sadee was not quite as happy with the whole process but overall she did well! And more importantly the adults survived picture day with the kids! Not always the case!

This is Maddi's new smile with her nose wrinkled up. Not sure why she has started this or where it came from! It's still cute, though!

Family Resemblance?

Since Maddi was born I have been asked a lot who she looks like. At first, a lot of people said she looked like Moss and only a few said she looked like me. As she has gotten bigger, most people now say she looks like me. I thought it would be fun to post some baby pics of Moss and I along side some of Maddi. You make the call!!
