More Little Gym

We had our second Little Gym class today. This time Moss came. Maddi had a great time again and this time I was able to get a few more pics of her!

She was supposed to be kind of "wheel barrow" walking along the bars.

Hmmm...not quite right.

A little better here. She actually has pretty good upper body strength.

She does well on the bar, too! She really grabs on and swings up as you push her up.

Daddy's turn! Mommy's arms were getting tired!

Ball play! Maddi was trying to collect all the balls by going and getting them and bringing them back to Daddy.

Mr. Jason, the instructor, was blowing bubbles here.

This was in the car on the way home. Look at those tired eyes!

And she's out like a light!

I decided to wear her out even more by going outside later in the afternoon. It was such a beautiful day! Her pigtails have lost a little of their perkiness here after nap time.

She learned how to walk up the hill and run back down it!

You can see the fading bruise on the right side of her forehead here. That happened on Tuesday when she stayed home with Daddy because her school was closed due to the weather. She fell and hit head first in the kitchen and I got this worried call from Moss at work saying she had a HUGE goose egg on her head that had immediately turned black and blue! I was ready to run home and check on her but fortunately she was okay. It had mostly gone down by the time I got home.

Shop 'Til You Drop!

Maddi and I went running around town today with my mom and dad since Moss wasn't going to be back until late. We went to eat at Chili's first where Maddi chowed down on some mac and cheese and mandarin oranges. Then we went shopping at Kohl's. My dad was pushing Maddi around in the cart. We split up and when I found them a little while later this is what I saw! What a tired little girl! We must have worn her out good because that does not look like a comfortable sleeping position!

Little Gym

Maddi started her first day at The Little Gym this morning. It was so much fun! She was a little hesitant at first and wanted me to just hold her. But she never cried and I kept encouraging her to join in and eventually she warmed up. She "swung" on the bars (with my help of course), climbed over the obstacle course, we rolled down the "cheese wedge" mats together, played with balls and bubbles, and danced to music! She loved it! I had a hard time getting her to leave! She especially enjoyed playing with the balls and bubbles. She was supposed to be rolling the ball with another little boy named Cash, but she kept getting up and running over to other groups wanting their ball. She wanted them all! She was so funny. And she was very upset when the balls were put away. We were both tired afterwards! She fell asleep after only 5 minutes in the car on the way home. I can't wait for Moss to come next week! I think he will really enjoy it. I wanted to take pictures but since I was doing everything with her I couldn't. I got a couple of her afterwards and you can kind of see the gym in the background. I'll try to get some action shots next week when Moss is with me.

I was glad I thought to bring her water afterwards. She had worked up a thirst!

Hornets For The Cure

On Friday, Maddi and I drove out to Azle to watch the Azle Varsity girls basketball team play. My dad is an assistant coach. They were hosting the Hornets For The Cure and all the proceeds were being donated to breast cancer research. Moss went hunting this weekend so it was just the girls again. We had a great time and Maddi really enjoyed watching the game. She loves anything with a ball! It's her favorite thing to play with right now and say. Everybody wore pink. Even the girls had pink uniforms for the night which I thought was pretty cool!

We didn't leave until 7:45 which is already 15 minutes past Maddi's bedtime and we had an hour to drive back. She had a little nap on the way out which helped. She stayed up the entire way home and was only slightly irritable. We got home at 9:00 and I put her straight into her pj's and into bed and she did great! She could have given me a much harder time, but she was wonderful! What a good little girl I have!

Hangin' With Bud & Sissi

Maddi and I hung out at my Mom and Dad's house for a little while today. They just recently got a trampoline. They are not my favorite things, but currently none of the children are really old enough to do much that could cause harm. Kaily and Peyton, who are both 4, only jump a few inches off of the surface. But we took Maddi outside and put her on it. She wasn't too sure about it. I bounced with her a little bit but she wanted off pretty quick. I can tell you, jumping on one of those things at 30 is MUCH different that jumping on it at 13! I can't believe I used to do backflips on those things! Anyhow, after the trampoline Maddi wanted to play ball. That's her new favorite thing to do. She can say and sign the word ball and does so every time she sees one. It's really cute. Maybe she'll be a great soccer/basketball/volleyball player!

Playing with moon sand! She tried to eat it several times. Which is why I politely declined when my Mom offered to send it home with us!

When we got home Maddi wanted to play with her doll. Here she is dragging it around by the hair. Nice, huh?

Remember when you loved playing in your Mom's laundry basket?!

These Boots Are Made For Walking

We are going to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo in a couple of weeks, so I recently went looking for some boots for Maddi to wear. I found some in her size online and we just got them in today. They are so cute and fit great! I tried them on her and let her walk around in them outside this evening. It took awhile for her to get used to them but she did great and loved them! I can't wait to go to the rodeo!

A close-up of the boots.

Running from Mommy!

Running off with Mommy's mail!

This was too funny! I guess because the boots are higher up on her legs than her normal shoes, she was having trouble standing up after she fell down. After I cruelly stood by and took pictures and laughed, I finally had to help her stand up!

This was her throwing herself on the ground refusing to go back inside! What a drama queen!

This is from a few days ago. I had put her hair in pigtails for school and she looked so cute!

On the bottle front, she didn't do quite as well tonight but still not bad. She cried a bit for her bottle but Moss just kept offering her her sippy cup of milk. He kept reading her book to her and finally she gave in and took the cup. He read an extra book to her for being such a good girl and then finally she handed the cup to him and he was able to turn out the light and put her into bed. We haven't heard a peep from her since! It's my night tomorrow night, so keep your fingers crossed for me!
