Our First Thanksgiving To Host!

We hosted our first Thanksgiving at our house this year and, amazingly, it went off without a hitch! I was nervous but excited to do it this year! Moss' family joined us from The Woodlands and his sister, who lives in Arlington, was there as well. I was so glad everything turned out well! We did all the trimmings with a couple new recipes thrown in. I even made my own pumpkin pie! The only problem with doing your own Thanksgiving is that you are too busy cooking to take pictures before hand and too tired afterwards. So, needless to say you will not see any pictures in this post. Sad, I know! I had plans to take a picture of our first turkey and everything. You will just have to take my word for it on how good it all turned out!

I am so excited to look forward to Christmas now! As you can see by my new blog backgrouns being up already!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

Maddi's 2nd Birthday Party

We had Maddi's birthday party on Saturday!! We had a great time with family and friends! I don't think 2 is yet the age where they get that it's a special day for them but I think Maddi had a pretty good time! She must have got overwhelmed at some point with all the people though. Because at one point I looked around and couldn't find her. She was in her room by herself, sitting in the rocker and reading her books. I let her stay in there until she was ready to come out on her own. Which she did finally when she heard us all laughing and clapping at something her cousin, Sadee, did. Then she decided to come check it out again! Too funny! Here are some pics from her party!

And, yes, I put her in the same shirt she wore on her actual birthday again! I'm going to get as much use out of it as I can!

The cake had a rough trip over. It slid from the middle of the tray. But it still looked cute!

My parents dog found a baby rabbit out at their house and my parents rescued it. It looks like they are keeping it and my mom brought it to the party for the kids to enjoy! He's a cute little thing! So tiny! We think he's a boy so he's being called Jack for now! He did escape from his box once. But we found him quickly. He didn't go far luckily!

The only time we got a hat on Maddi!

Kaily and Sadee!

Sadee is reaching for the cake here! Little stink!

Maddi with her cheese face on!

Sadee and Kynli! Sadee was excited to see another little girl her size there!

Maddi opening her presents with lots of help from Kaily and Aunt Stacy!

Maddi got the tickle me Elmo hands and it came with a DVD that of course Maddi wanted to watch. As soon as we put it in, the girls all stopped to watch! They are definitely Elmo fans!

Of course, per usual kid fashion, after she had opened all her presents, Maddi chose to play with the empty gift bags! She looks like she is practicing to be a professional shopper like her Mommy!

Trying to get a good family pic, but I think our little birthday princess was getting tired by this point! No smiles here!

Singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles!

Kaily wanted the head! How morbid, huh? Kids can be so funny!

Maddi and Sadee sharing M&Ms.

Playing jacks with Grandma! I think she's still a little yound for that game!
