Santa Claus!
Every since we have been in this house, Lewisville Fire Department has sent a fire truck through all the neighborhoods with Santa Claus riding and throwing out candy one night during December. We heard him come around the other night and snatched Maddi up to run outside and see. This is the first year she has been excited about it! They went by really fast and I barely had time to grab my camera and shoot a few shots off. So the pics aren't great. It was fun though!

Getting In The Christmas Spirit
Moss was hunting this weekend so it was just Maddi and I left to do some Christmas shopping and put up the Christmas decorations! I was really excited this year because Maddi is getting old enough to kind of get Christmas. Friday night we went out and did some Christmas gift and decoration shopping. On the way home it was dark so we went around and looked at some Christmas lights in our neighborhood. That was always and still is one of my fave things to do at Christmas! She loved it! As soon as we passed a house with lights she'd say "More!" And now every night we are out and she sees lights she says "More lights!" So, of course, I take her looking again! So fun!
When we got home we set about the task of decorating the Christmas tree. I put up the lights and then Maddi found the ornaments and was excited to help. Of course our tree ended up having all the ornaments around the bottom of the tree! I was going to leave it like that but ended up taking them down to put up some garland (tulle, really) and then put the ornaments back up. I figured she rearrange them as soon as she saw, since I did this after she went to bed Saturday night. But, surprisingly, so far she hasn't bothered it. I made sure to use all nonbreakable ornaments this year though...just in case. Our tree was finally completely done, as well as the rest of the house decorations by Sunday. It makes me so happy to see all my Christmas stuff up! I love Christmas!
This is my hat that I wore out shopping Friday that Maddi insisted on wearing herself. So cute!

The tree with all the ornaments at the bottom! So cute!
Maddi decided she wanted to take a few back off the tree. "My snowman!"
Found this Santa hat in with the Christmas decorations. I tried to get her to wear it when I found it but she wouldn't. This was after swim lessons on Sunday which is why she is wearing a crazy print swimsuit cover up. Which by the way, used to be a long dress cover up on her! Not anymore! Anyway, it was time for nap and she decided that running to get the Santa hat would be a good diversion from nap time because all of a sudden I couldn't find her and when I did, she was wearing the hat. She was right! I stopped to take pictures! But, finally, I got her down for nap.

Table For 4
Yay!! I am so excited! I ordered this little table and chair set for Maddi several months ago for her birthday. Unfortunately, it was not ready in time for her birthday. But it finally arrived today! The chairs, luckily, were already together, but I did have to screw the legs on it. I was just going to wait for Moss to do it. But once I got it out of the box I realized how easy it was and just did it myself. I picked out all the colors and am thrilled with the way it turned out! I was so excited for Maddi to see it when she got home from school. She loved it! We had to leave soon after getting home to do some things, but she was so good while we were out that I let her eat dinner at it. She was so cute sitting at her little table! She made sure to try each chair out and even let Mommy sit with her. I'm so excited she will have a great place to color and play with her tea set and many other things! I think she will really enjoy it!

Texas Tech vs Baylor at Cowboys Stadium
Moss and I went to the Tech/Baylor game at the new Cowboys Stadium on Saturday! After much trouble with blogger loading my pictures, I am finally able to post them. We went to the game with Summer and Augie and another couple who are friends of theirs, Jill and Jason. We met up early in the afternoon and headed to the stadium to do some tailgating before the game. Augie cooked up some great fajitas with a little help from Moss. The game itself was a nail biter. I figured we would have done much better against Baylor, but once again they proved a tougher opponent than what we were expecting. But Tech managed to pull it out in the end. The stadium is awesome! We had a great time!
Our parking spot was right behind this small forest of trees. So our view of the stadium here wasn't all that great for picture taking.
