There's No Place Like Home!

This Halloween was a little bit more fun this year. Whereas, last year, we dressed her up, but just stayed around the house to hand out candy with her; this year we actually did a little trick-or-treating! However, Maddi was still just not quite into the concept still. We dressed her as Dorothy and I think she looked so cute!

I wrestled her into her costume and gave her the candy bucket and told her it was for people to put candy in. So, she immediately went to our candy bucket we had to hand out later and started putting candy in her bucket!

We left to go down the street to a neighborhood Halloween party first. As you can see here, she was not into posing for pictures!

She got a sucker at the party and as you can see, the sugar began to loosen her up a bit!

The party is given by two houses next door to each other. They put a big bounce house between the two. They had pizza and LOTS of candy! Very cool! They have had this every year since we've been here but this is the first year we've gone. Maddi usually loves bounce houses but for some reason, she wasn't real into this one. We finally got her to go in at one point, but then it got real crowded real quick. There was some punk ninja kid in there scaring all the kids. She just kept staring at him and got out real quick after that. I didn't blame her!

Picking out another sucker because Mom stole hers while she was in the bounce house!

She picked out the biggest bag of Skittles!

Showing off her blue mouth from her sucker!

We left the party to go do some actual trick-or-treating. I was trying to coach her to say "trick-or-treat!" but she never would. She was too shy. She would hold her bucket out for them to put candy in (she got that part!) and then she'd turn and say "bye bye!" We only made it to three houses and then she started to whine and wanted to go home. Maybe it's the Dorothy outfit! "There's no place like home!"

Our last house! She better figure this out next year! Mom and Dad want candy!

Back at home and already digging into the candy!

She loves rearranging my decorations!

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!!!!
